The picture is of my first rescue and personal Manx. She was born on April 1, 1999. Yes she's a fools baby :-). Her name is Lunableu. Luna for the Goddess of the Moon and Bleu for the color of her beautiful fur. Lunableu is a solid blue rumpie riser female. I rescued her from a breeder whose spouse abused her. She was terrified of people and especially men. Luna was considered unadoptable because of this and was going to be put down. I am grateful that I found her in time.

For years I had wanted a solid blue female Manx but things never worked out for me. I TRULY believe this match between Lunableu and myself was destined to be. We are very close and I can't describe the joy she gives me. She totally ROCKS :-)

I am happy to say that she is now a friendly happy and loving addition to my feline household. Lunableu does cuddle with me every night and sheloves to watch me eat, cause no matter what I'm eating (chicken, pasta, eggs or whatever) its her FAVORITE FOOD. There is no doubt about it, she loves to eat

I came across a breed known as Manx. I read everything I could on this breed. I asked breeders question, talked about their cats and got involved in discussions with Manx pet owners. After a year and a half, I came across an ad for a solid blue female rumpie riser Manx. For some reason I had to inquire about her. I found out that she was going to be put to sleep due to her shy personality. By saving her, I opened up a part of myself to be saved. She needed me to give her life. When I actually got Lunableu into my possession, she showed me that it was OK to be different and to have personality flaws. I was told she would never be friendly, never like humans, myself and always be defective in some way.

This Manx that was going to be Euthanized because she was unwanted is now over a year old, sleeps with me EVERY night, loves to play games with me and is getting friendlier every day. Lunableu will always be somewhat of a fraidy cat, but she lets me know that she loves me despite my personality flaws.

She had shown me that I was loved unconditionally despite my outlook on life and despite what others may say or think of me. I'll always know that Lunableu my Manx, loves me no matter what. And that's the great thing about pets. They really do love you unconditonally. Without judgements and without criticisms. They don't care if you have makeup on or not. They don't care if your shoes match your pocketbook that match your eyes. Pets don't care if Sunday is sweat pants day, if you bite your nails or if you like eggs with ketchup. Pets love you for how you treat them and how you make them feel. Just remember they are a reflection of your love. If you think they make you feel wanted, loved and cherrished, just think of how they feel in regards to how you make them feel.

I hope you enjoyed the story, for its a true story.
