Hi and welcome to the MANXALOT RESCUE Web Page. I don't have a facility and I am just internet based so far, but I really do want that to change.

Some Manx Facts: Manx, depending on their tailessness, have a shortened spine and therefore make up for it with bunny-like legs to bounce around. Their balance is impeccable and they LOVE to jump. Manx are not a man made cat.  They are a natural creation and their roots go back to the Isle of Man. Manx are ROUND. They have Round heads, Round bodies and cute Round butts. Their bone structure is stocky and yet their fur is a non matting bunny soft fur.

The TRUTH about Manx Rescuing: I get many requests about wanting to adopt or rescue a Manx, here are some things I would like you to consider while your thinking about adopting a Manx - or any other cat for that matter.

  1. Most Rescue cats are usually 2 years old or older. This, however, doesn't make them less lovable or less worthy of finding a home for. An older cat has a HUGE amount of attractive qualities. They are probably already socialized with a dog and other cats. They could be already used to a busy household or even have experience with young kids.

  2.
  3. Most of the Manx I come across are NOT papered, are NOT from breeders and are NOT usually breeding or show quality. They are loving Manx who desire a loving home.

  4.
  5. I have Manx-Mix Cats Fostered all over the USA. Even some shelters that have manx but are not known for having Manx, ask me to list their Manx cats for them.
I DO NOT WORK WITH NOR SUPPORT KITTEN MILLS. What is a Kitten Mill you ask? Check out the link at the left side of my page for tons of information regarding this subject.

As you can see, I am very passionate about saving Manx and if you should have any questions, PLEASE feel free to contact me to discuss things further.

I run a list called "MANX CUTIES". This list is for those people interested in Manx Talk. I run a separate list for those interested in seeing what Manx Cats are available for adoption. The link is on my available cats page.  Feel free to join up if you have a Manx, or are just interested in Manx Talk.
